Tanzillo Garden on Oakland/Piedmont border in development now. Opens spring 2008 with an 8-channel soundwall actively mitigating traffic noise with real-time wave response (a Livingston Sound proprietary system). Also features interactive birdcages in the trees and 12-channel Garden Surround by Livingston Sound. The client's theme is St. Francis of Assisi, and the sound design blends Gregorian chant with
birdsong and geophonies (the sounds of wind, rain, water). A dry creekbed snakes through the property and the sound environment will suggest what it might have sounded like 10,000 years ago. Opera for Telluride CO.

In collaboration with librettist Pamela Lifton-Zoline, an opera is being developed for the Telluride Opera House that will depart from Vladimir Nabokov's novel Ada, where two characters visit the opera house in Telluride in 1890. Premieres in Oakland and Telluride August 2009.
