Hugh Livingston will be in the Czech Republic, in the medieval town of Slavonice, Bohemia, on the border with Austria, from September 14-24, 2006 to create a garden sound environment. All sound materials and software design will be executed in this short period, taking cues from the natural environment and the town's history. Recordings will be made of birds and water and the church bells, resonances will be sought out in the church apses and underground tunnels, and the sonic energy of the squares and streets will be integrated.
